Working with Police | Women’s Legal Service

Together with a senior member of Victoria Police we will explore practical and effective ways to work together with police in family violence  matters. You will also learn new ways to advocate for your client’s safety

Who should attend?
 Practitioners in family violence services
 Practitioners in community and health services

THIS TRAINING INCLUDES:
 Facilitated discussion with Victoria Police on the police process in family violence matters
 Discussion of strategies to advocate for your client in all stages of an intervention order matter, including:
o Police applications for Intervention Orders
o If your client is misidentified as the primary aggressor
o When your client’s Intervention Order is contravened (breached)
