Level 1: Elder Abuse Training – Recognising and Responding to Suspected Elder Abuse
Peninsula Health brings this free elder abuse training to you in conjunction with The Bouverie Centre, funded by the Department of Health and Human Services, as part of the integrated model of care (IMOC) for responding to suspected elder abuse.
This interactive workshop is designed to assist health and community professionals to more confidently:
Recognise elder abuse – the risk factors, types and potential signs
Respond sensitively to older people at risk of, or experiencing elder abuse, & their carers/family
Know the types of services available and make appropriate referrals.

Who should attend?
Community service providers including allied health, nursing and medical staff, assessment workers, care coordinators, case managers, mental health workers and community support staff.
